Engineering clarity.
Delivering certainty.

Great projects need two things in equal measure: the right risks retired in the right order, and engineering that's genuinely excellent. We lead rail and civil-heavy projects through risk — site, regulatory, then design — and deliver build-ready engineering you can stake a schedule on.

STA 01+00 — PROJECT DELIVERY
How we de-risk

De-risk in the right order —
then engineer it to a standard that lasts.

The biggest threats to your schedule and capital are often non-technical, so we lead with project sequencing and risk. But sequencing only pays off when the engineering behind it is excellent — build-ready, constructible, and built to perform. We hold both to the same standard.

B.P.D.M — Behrman Project Delivery Method
01

Site & location validation

Does the land, geometry, grade, and serving railroad serve your needs? We confirm the site can carry the project before a dollar goes into detailed design.

02

Regulatory pathway

Regulatory requirements impact schedule more than engineering. We map the permits, authorities, and milestones that control your critical path.

03

Risk-ranked scope

Our proprietary risk identification and scoring system raises the right questions at the right time — before decisions are made and stakeholders are engaged.

04

Design & delivery

With the project level risks retired, engineering excellence takes over — precise, constructible, build-ready packages that perform in the field and for the life of the asset.

Capability — Industrial Site Intelligence

Turn your site into a decision-ready digital asset

We capture complex industrial sites with LiDAR, photogrammetry, drone data, and field engineering review, then turn that information into decision-grade site data your team can actually plan, design, and build from — not gimmicks, but practical tools for fewer site visits and fewer surprises.

  • Capture accurate existing conditions before major decisions
  • Cut return site visits and field-verification gaps
  • Sharper design coordination and constructability reviews
  • Shared visual understanding for owners, engineers, and contractors

STA 01+28 — FAQ
Common questions

Questions buyers ask first

What does EPCM mean — and can you run a project end to end?

EPCM is Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management. We cover all of it across five service lines, and you can engage us for a single phase or from concept to commissioning. The difference is sequencing: we retire site, regulatory, and risk questions in the right order before detailed design begins.

Do you coordinate with Class 1 railways?

Yes — railroad coordination is core to our practice. We handle approvals, interface design, and phasing under live operations. Our Fort St. John frac sand terminal secured Class 1 Railway approval in May 2025 while the yard stayed in service.

What regions do you serve?

We're based in Calgary and work across Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan, with project experience North America wide. Engineering is held to the standards of APEGA (Alberta) and EGBC (British Columbia).

What actually happens in a "project review"?

It's a free, no-obligation conversation. Tell us the site location and your biggest unknown, and we'll connect you with the right engineer and reply within one business day — no commitment required to find out whether the project is sound.

Are you licensed to stamp engineering work?

Yes. We're a licensed engineering practice through APEGA in Alberta and EGBC in British Columbia, with rail work aligned to AREMA practice and audited safety systems.
